piz·za (noun) -
A baked pie of Italian origin consisting of a shallow breadlike
crust covered with seasoned tomato sauce, cheese, and often other
toppings, such as sausage or olives.
Mondays at noon, CS graduate students and faculty get
together to eat pizza, exchange ideas, and discuss research
directions. Pizza Meetings evolve around two main activities:
eating pizza, and listening to a presentation. Presentations are
given by volunteers and their topics reflect the heterogeneous
composition of the department.
This year, all but two talks will be in DH 3076 at
Noon on Mondays.
Please remember NOT TO THROW any pizza
pieces in the dustbin inside DH3076 since that room is used by others
after us.
If you have any comments, or want
to give a talk, please contact Amit Saha at amsaha AT rice.edu.
