  • Dr. Devika Subramanian is a professor of Computer Science at Rice University. She offers her expertise in artificial intelligence and robotics and her experience with the problems, both physical and logical, of programming and designing robots.

  • Eliot Flannery is a sophomore majoring in Computer Science at Rice University. He is currently working on the navigational systems of the robot.
  • Bobak Nazer is a junior majoring in Electrical Engineering at Rice University. Bobak is currently designing a radio controlled sign which will enable Virgil to cross the street and extend his tour area to the rest of the campus.
  • Paul Ramirez is a sophomore majoring in Political Science at Rice University. He ensures the robot is mechanically stable and designs hardware. Paul is currently designing the torso of the robot.
  • Richard Thrapp recently graduated from Rice University with a B.S. in Computer Science. He is currently working on obstacle avoidance and path planning.
  • Christian Westbrook is a junior majoring in Computer Science at Rice Univeristy. He is currently working on an implementation of the Monte Carlo particle filtering algorithm.
