font-name-directory<%>

There is one font-name-directory<%> object: the-font-name-directory. It maps face names and font ids to system- and device-specific font names. These names are primarily used internally, such as by the post-script-dc% class.

Font ids are created by the-font-name-directory, and they are only useful as mapping indices. The initial mappings are configured by reading system-dependent resource files.
