I completed my Ph.D. from the Department of Computer Science at Rice University, Houston, Texas, and currently am working for Juniper Networks. At Rice, I was a member of the Computer Systems Lab and worked under the guidance of Dr. Dave Johnson. I work in the fields of Mesh Networks, Mobile Ad Hoc Networks, Wireless Networks, and Sensor Networks. I did my Bachelor of Technology from IIT Kharagpur in 1999 and joined Rice University in the fall of 2000. In the past, I have worked at Hughes Software Systems, Gurgaon, Indian and at Tropos Networks, Sunnyvale, CA, USA, a startup on wireless mesh networks.

I was born and brought up in the small city of Silchar in Assam, India. I love to play Badminton, Squash, Cricket, Table Tennis, and almost any sport with a lot of non-contact physical activity.
