In December, 2004 Deepanwita and I went with Anirban and his wife Mekhala to California. Me and my wife drove down to Dalla from Houston, a distance of around 250 miles, and took a flight to Los Angeles. There we rented a Toyota Camry (white!) and drove towards San Francisco taking Route 1 all the way. Route 1 is also called the "Pacific Coast Highway (PCH)" where the "California Highway Police (CHP)" keep a stict vigilance - PCH being monitored by CHP is pretty funny, well at least it is to me !
