I am a fourth-year graduate student at the Department of Computer Science, Rice University. I joined the Bioinformatics Group,
headed by Professor Luay K.
Nakhleh, in January 2006.
I was born and grew up in Việt Nam. My full name in Vietnamese is Thân Văn Cường. I did my undergraduate work at Hanoi University of Technology. In 2005, I was awarded a fellowship from the Vietnam Education Foundation to study in the U.S.
Research
My research interests are
in the area of bioinformatics, particularly phylogenetics.
