Nathan Tallent is a C.S. graduate student (as of Aug. 2005) at Rice University. To the surprise of some, he studies Computer Science and not Chronological Snobbery. At least, usually.
His research focus is performance analysis of parallel programs. In particular, he has worked on performance measurement, attribution, analysis and interpretation of multithreaded and petascale programs. His advisor is John Mellor-Crummey.
Sometimes, it seems that he has separation anxiety from HPCToolkit.
You will be sorry to hear that he does not have a Facebook page (and therefore cannot be your "friend"). Nor does he have much interest in blogging or tweeting. He sounds very much like a Luddite.
Perhaps one day he will not be funded with soft money.
