Santashil PalChaudhuri
Coordinates: I am a graduate student at Rice University in Computer Science.
It's in Houston, Texas.
I do research on sensor and ad hoc networks, working towards my Phd to be finished in summer 2005. Did my
masters in May 2002 from Rice.
Before that I did my bachelors in May 2000 from IIT Kharagpur.
Current: I am wrapping up my thesis this summer.
I am looking for a position in a sensor/mesh/wireless networking startup,
a company R&D or a research lab. So, if you are a potential employer, check out
my
resume, my
research and my
publications.
Research:
Research on protocol design for Sensor and Wireless Networks.
Cross-layer design of an adaptive Sensor Network Architecture
called COMPASS. I developed adaptive protocols for routing, medium access and
synchronization as part of this architecture.
Designed scalable ad hoc architectures under Safari and Ad Hoc
City projects. Developed a framework for physical implementation of ad
hoc routing protocol models, called PRAN. Implemented UNIX-like
yalnix kernel, along with device drivers and file system.
Did research internships at Bell Labs and Sun Labs working on network edge architectures. Spent a summer
visiting EPFL working on steady state mobility models.
Thanks you for your interest.
