I met Blake at Carleton in 1990, and we were married in June of 1994. She holds an MA in Linguistics from the University of Rochester.

Edie (Edith Hardy) attends preschool at the Elwanger-Barry cooperative nursery
school. Here, she's enjoying a romp through the flowers at

Liam (short for William) has just turned two. Here, he's exploring

Roxy is very fond of playing games and barking, especially at 6:00
am. The slightly damp look around her ears is the direct result of
playing with Jake (who, alas, just passed away).
Quasar was bred from the barncats at my grandparents' farm. He is 2
years old in this picture. He loves to hunt "mice", which to him are
crumpled pieces of paper and the rings attached to the lids of gallon
milk jugs.
This picture shows him in a bowl that we used to think belonged to us.
Zaphod is the newest member of our family. He likes high places,
such as the top of the wicker cabinet in our bathroom. He is just
over a year old in this picture. He also loves chasing laser
pointers around, and is very ferocious while so doing.
