  About ME

Most Important person to me： Dad and Mom

I am the only daughter of my parents. They are still young and now managing our own grand hotel. My father is hard-working, he loves my mother, I and our dog (named Wang Wang). My mother is the most beautiful and nice woman in my and my father's mind. She is a quasi-Buddhist and very kind-hearted. I have several aunts, uncles and cousins. We often gather together and have a lot of wonderful times. I love my family very much.

Most Important thing to me： Working hard and to be a faculty someday

That's why I leave my family and go across the ocean alone. I will study hard for my Ph.D. degree at Rice, and no matter what difficulties I encounter, I won't give up.

Personalities: 

I am a simple and happy girl. When I feel unhappy, I will engorge; When you displeased me, I simply keep silence to you   ; When I am sad, I will cry as hard as I can.

Although I am already 22 years old now, I still cry from time to time. But most time, I smile and laugh. I hate cold weather; I don't like meat; I am afraid of thunder and insects.... I like fruits, milk, cartoons, beautiful skirts and lovely toy bear.... I am timid so never try to show me something grisly or violent, It will not be funny and I will not like you any more.

Interests and Talents:

I am an amateur on Latin dance. I was a member of USTC Latin team, and here are some pics from our performances: 1 2 3 4 5 6. I also like traveling. China is a great country with many wonderful places to visit, like Beijing, Taishan 7, Huangshan 8, Hainan 9 10, Xi'an, Hangzhou, etc.. Wanna visit China? I can be your guide. :)

When I have time, I also enjoy singing, cooking (of course only Chinese cuisine ^_^), watching TV, hand-knitting etc. But now computer  and books occupied most of my time. I like language learning too. I have spent some time learning Japanese and Deutsch, just for fun. (Actually I forgot most of I learnt.)

Friends:

When I was an undergraduate, my class was divided into several small groups according to different majors (SCGY is a special department in USTC where students are much younger and choose their major two years after entering university. So students of different majors live and study together.). My major is computer science and here are a picture of my classmates who have similar interests. They are also my friends.  Then I continued my graduate study in Dept. of Computer Science at USTC and I spend most of time with our lab mates. We get along very well and enjoyed a lot of happy time together.

There are somebody really important to me, as friends and as teachers. They are far away from me now. I miss them often and much.
