The Rice Computer Architecture group focuses on the design, analysis, and implementation of high-performance computing systems for such demanding tasks as networking, communications, multimedia, and scientific computing. The group was established in 2001 and is led by Professor Scott Rixner. Our research includes both faculty and students from the Computer Science and Electrical and Computer Engineering departments.

The Computer Architecture group is currently actively recruiting graduate students from both departments. Please see the Research page for more information on projects within this group.

The Computer Architecture group is currently supported in part by grants from the National Science Foundation and by donations from Advanced Micro Devices, Hewlett Packard, Texas Instruments, and Xilinx.
