DrScheme runs on both the 680x0 and PowerPC Macintoshes. There are separate distribution archives for the 680x0 and PowerPC architectures, so be sure to download the appropriate archive for your machine. Attempting to run the PowerPC version of DrScheme on a 680x0 machine may produce a cryptic error message such as ``System Error -128''.
The Macintosh versions of DrScheme are distributed as StuffIt files. Unpack plt.ppc-mac.sit or plt.68k-mac.sit with StuffIt or StuffIt Expander to get a plt folder. The DrScheme application is located directly in the plt folder. DrScheme actually launches the MrEd PPC or MrEd 68k application to run DrScheme.
DrScheme Jr is also in the plt folder. It uses the MzScheme PPC/68k application to run instead of MrEd PPC/68k.
