Dear Dan,

It has been brought to our attention that your Web site,
http://www.cs.princeton.edu/~dwallach/
features Dilbert comic strips. Thank you for your enthusiasm, however, this material is copyrighted by United Feature Syndicate, Inc. As a result, the names or likenesses of the Dilbert comic strips and all other United Media intellectual property cannot be used-- on the World Wide Web or elsewhere-- without the express, written consent of UFS. Therefore, I must request that you remove the Dilbert comic strips from your Web site and confirm for me that you have done so. Also, if you know the URL or FTP address of anyone distributing Dilbert comic strips, I would appreciate receiving that information.

Thank you for your cooperation. If you have any questions about copyrights, please consult with your attorney. If you have any questions about the UM site, I will do my best to answer them.

Sincerely,

Jonathan Shapiro
VP Corporate Development
