Comp 620: Seminar in Secure Systems

Dan Wallach and Alan Cox

This course is intended to cover a broad array of research toward building secure systems. This means we will cover a wide range of topics, from operating systems design to cryptography, from high-level security evaluation through low-level formal modelling. We will talk about the importance of physical security and we will study historical security attacks.

The list of papers below and the order in which they will be presented is just a rough draft. Because security winds its way through so many different sub-disciplines in computer science, we expect students will have other favorite papers which belong in this seminar, and they will be added as time permits.
