Netscape, Summer 1996

I spent my last summer in beautiful Mountain View, California, doing some cool security technology for Netscape Communicator.

The interns organized one of the Friday beer busts, which included a kareoke DJ, and the all-intern band. Jim Barksdale (our imperious leader) even got up to croon a country-western song. Don't worry, he'll be keeping his day job.
Of course, any page like this wouldn't be complete without some sappy HR blurb like, Netscape interns do many interesting and diverse activities. Duh! Here's Ross Fubini and Brad Porter flying a two-string sport-kite on the marina in Berkeley.

I organized an intern trip to The Exploratorium's Tactile Dome, where you have to find your way around without being able to see a thing. It's cool. ``The Exploratorium also has an exceptionally cool tornado simulator,'' observes Jocelyn Goldfein.
